Pahiyas Festival

Today marks one of our country’s most colourful festival in the province of Quezon, known as the Pahiyas Festival. This is in honor of San Isidro, the Patron Saint of the Farmers, as a way of thanksgiving for the bountiful harvests. Decorations called “kiping”, multi-coloured rice paste wafers are being used in the decorations, along with other farm produce such as fruits, flowers, plants and vegetables.
Another flashback photos, taken during the Pahiyas Festival in Year 2011.
