Jet d’Eau or the Water Jet is one of the most prominent landmarks in Geneva, and is considered as one of the most tallest fountains in the world, spouting 150 metres into the air. We moved closer to the fountain by walking on the walkway to get a nice shot. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get much closer to it, else we’ll get wet as it was windy. And since we have more time to spare, we took a boat cruise within the lake.
Not far from the Lakefront is the Jardin Anglais (English Garden). It was built with English styles and designs, thus called the English Garden. We walked around it and sat by the bench to relax. It was clean and peaceful, and relaxing. It was a perfect place to stop by after some tiring walks that we did for the whole day.
I’ve also read that a part of the movie Syriana has been shot in this charming garden. On the early part of the movie, Matt Damon’s son is playing right on this beautiful fountain.
Then of course, the magnificent Flower Clock which has been a symbol of Geneva’s watch industry.
