Maldives Moment

We departed from Dubai Terminal 2 on 13th of February at 2:00 in the morning. It was a five-hour journey, we safely landed at Ibrahim Nasr International Airport in Male at 7AM. The weather was perfect at 29 degrees. Beautiful sunrise greeted us on our way to the hotel, which is just 15 minutes away. We checked in at Hotel UI Inn. The receptionist informed us that there’s a promo on going to Koda Bandos otherwise known as the “Picnic Island”. Well, why not? We just took a few minutes nap then off with the group to the Picnic Island!

The speedboat took us there in about 15-20 minutes. It was too hot, so upon reaching the shore, we immediately changed for our swimming outfit and splash on to the water! My one-year-old son enjoyed a lot. He loves swimming, and he loves the beach! Well who doesn’t, especially when you’re in Maldives! My husband tried snorkeling and explored the creatures underwater. I also did some yoga and it was so relaxing… Being in one with nature, those waves splashing on the shore, birds chirping, wind blowing… Everything was perfect!

After a nice swim at the Kuda Bandos, we went to the City of Male to buy some souvenir items. We used the public ferry to go there. There is not much to see in Male as the city is crowded and congested.
